Share House - Regional Areas

Share houses on the outskirts of the metropolitan area or near industrial complexes and schools come in many forms: per-room contracts, per-bed contracts, operator contracts, private subletting, and more. Do not judge safety based on the area name or price tag alone.

• Check whether the other contracting party is the owner, the operator, or an existing tenant.
• Check the deposit, monthly rent, maintenance fee, utility bills, cleaning fee, and liability for damage to shared items.
• Check whether residence (place of stay) registration and mail receipt are possible.
• Put room locks, shared spaces, visitors, noise, the move-out notice period, and deposit return conditions in writing in the contract.
• Check the certified copy of the register (등기사항증명서) and any senior (prior) rights.

• "Is the market rate for share houses in this area reasonable?"
• "Is it safe if there is an operator?"
• "Can I get my deposit back?"
• "Can I register my place of stay here?"

The questions above require checking the actual contract, the register, and the competent authorities.
