How Kapy Korea builds trustworthy guides
Kapy Korea is an independent information service for foreign residents in Korea. It is not a government agency, law firm, or immigration office.
What Kapy Korea does
We turn difficult Korean administrative and daily-life information into short, actionable guides. Official sources, the last checked date, and important limitations stay visible so readers can verify the information for themselves.
Our publishing method
1. Start with primary sources
We prioritize Korean government, public-institution, and service-operator sources. Community posts are never presented as official evidence.
2. Separate claims from guidance
Eligibility, documents, deadlines, fees, contacts, and process steps are tracked as checkable claims instead of being blended into general advice.
3. Run deterministic checks
Publication rails check required metadata, source links, dates, locale coverage, structured data, and crawlability. Automation can catch omissions; it cannot make a legal decision.
4. Publish the evidence boundary
Each guide shows its status, last checked date, and sources. Machine-translated pages are labeled and link back to the Korean source text.
5. Recheck when sources change
A source change can trigger a review. Until the impact is understood, Kapy can show a warning or direct the reader to 1345 or the responsible office.
What the labels mean
Required source and metadata checks passed. This does not guarantee an individual result.
The guide has a known limitation or a point that should be confirmed with the responsible authority.
A community member's experience. It is not an official source and is not used as AI Kapy evidence.
What Kapy Korea does not promise
- We do not predict visa, legal, medical, tax, or financial outcomes.
- A verified label does not mean a lawyer, immigration officer, or other professional approved your individual case.
- Rules and office practices can change after the last checked date. Confirm high-impact decisions with the linked official source, 1345, or the responsible authority.
Corrections and transparency
If a guide looks outdated or conflicts with an official source, use the visible report action on that guide. Include the source URL and the sentence that needs checking. Privacy requests use the separate privacy contact shown in our Privacy Policy.
