Residences, hotel-style lodging, and serviced apartments may look like long-stay products, but their legal nature can differ — lodging, lease, contract management, and so on. Deposit, cancellation, cleaning, maintenance fees, address registration, and move-out conditions must be confirmed in the contract and the operator's terms.

• Check whether the contract is a lodging agreement or a lease agreement (임대차계약).
• Check additional costs such as the deposit, prepayment, refunds, penalty fees, cleaning fees, utilities, parking, and laundry.
• Confirm with the operator and the competent authority whether the address is accepted for use in your residence registration (체류지 신고).
• Check whether long-stay discounts or promotions change during the contract period.
• Keep a written record of the card guarantee, damage compensation, and move-out inspection criteria.
