A student considering a school transfer can first separate the facts that need confirmation: the current institution, the intended transfer date, the record that may change, and the office that issued each notice. A useful discussion asks how to identify the current contact point, how to keep a dated record of replies, and which documents should only be shown to the responsible office. Do not upload an ARC image, passport number, full address, tuition receipt, or another student's documents. Schools and immigration-related processes can vary by timing and individual status, so this thread should not predict eligibility or outcomes. It is for building a careful verification checklist before anyone acts.

The Korean you need at a counter is not the Korean any textbook teaches. You can be fine ordering food and still freeze when someone at the immigration office or the district office asks you one question you have never heard before — and there is a queue behind you. I want to build a list of those exact moments. Tell us: 1. **Where you were** — immigration office, district office (주민센터), bank, hospital, phone shop 2. **The sentence you didn't understand**, as close as you can remember it. Romanised is completely fine. 3. **What it turned out to mean**, if you found out later. I will take what shows up here and add the phrases into the relevant guides, so the next person reads them *before* standing at that counter instead of after. Related: [Admin & Government](/guide/c/admin) and [Money & Banking](/guide/c/banking). 한국어로 답글 달아 주셔도 됩니다 — 그게 오히려 다른 분들에게 도움이 됩니다.
