Under the Ministry of Justice reform, the D-10 job-seeking stay period for international graduates of Korean universities increased from a maximum of 2 years to a maximum of 3 years, and each extension increased from 6 months to a maximum of 1 year.
Graduation does not automatically change D-2 to D-10. You must apply for a change of status after checking your degree or graduation status, job-seeking plan, filing time, and required documents.
The maximum of 3 years does not mean that every applicant receives 3 years at once. Individual eligibility and documents can vary.
The Ministry of Justice announcement says the total cap on job-seeking internships for Korean-university graduates was removed, and the maximum internship with one company increased from 6 months to 1 year. Confirm that a planned internship is allowed under your status before starting.
