Using Taxis

Taxi fares vary depending on the region, time of day, hailing app, vehicle type, the combination of distance and time charges, tolls, late-night surcharges, and airport/intercity travel. Since the fare estimated by an app may differ from the actual fare, you should check the meter and the official policy.

• Check for official taxi stands, hailing apps, and the taxi indicator light.
• Prepare your destination with both the road-name address and the building name.
• Check whether the meter is being used, and the possibility of tolls, late-night surcharges, and out-of-area surcharges.
• Before paying, check that a receipt can be issued and whether card payment is accepted.
• Report lost items using your receipt, the vehicle number, and the hailing app records.
