E-9 Non-Professional Employment Stay Period Extension Guide

If an E-9 Non-Professional Employment resident wishes to continue staying in Korea beyond their already-permitted stay period, they must obtain a stay period extension permit. According to HiKorea, a stay period extension permit must be applied for from 4 months before the current stay period expires up to the day of expiry. If you apply after the stay period expiry date has passed, a penalty fine is imposed under Article 25 of the Immigration Act (출입국관리법).
