PASS App

PASS is an app that provides mobile-carrier-based identity verification, authentication, certificates, and mobile ID features. Whether you can sign up and which features you can use may vary depending on your mobile carrier, MVNO (budget carrier) operator, a line registered in your own name, your foreigner registration information, and the app version.

• Install the PASS app that matches the mobile carrier or MVNO network you actually use.
• Confirm with your carrier that the name on your phone line matches your foreigner registration information.
• Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Alien Registration Card (외국인등록증) or your carrier's registration records.
• If verification keeps failing, instead of trying many times at random, check with your carrier's customer center for a mismatch in your registration information.

• Before approving a PASS verification request, confirm that the login, payment, civil affairs request, or financial procedure was started by you.
• A verification code sent by someone else, a request to install a remote-control app, or a request to unlock an account may be a scam.
• If you lose your phone, first report the loss to your carrier, suspend your USIM, and go through the PASS re-registration process.
